Greetings, I am going to try to be 100% honest in my profile, even though it may turn away some people. I feel that honesty is just too important not to be very up front about things.
I have had a long time interest in D/s but only in the last 6-7 years have I been really able to explore it. My interest includes both the dominant & submissive side (for some reason switches turn some people off but I am not going to lie about it!). I lean very strongly towards the dominant side, which is why I list myself as a dominant, but my feelings do go both ways.
About six years ago I entered into a relationship with a wonderful submissive woman I met here on Collarme and we were married in 2011.
We are both college graduates and enjoy a wide range of topics both in and outside of D/s and BDSM...that's right, there IS life outside of BDSM. You will notice that her photo doesn't appear here. That is for professional reasons on her part.
We are open to making new friends and I would like to eventually find a dominant woman to help me explore my submissive side. My girl is well aware that I am a switch but she does not switch herself.

Tips For Submissives (and Dominants too):
1. The dominant is in charge because the submissive says so. My Girl follows my lead because it is in her nature and because she trusts me. What I say goes, as long as I meet my responsibilities and take care of her mentally, emotionally, and physically.
2. About Safewords: safewords are USEFUL. I like them because as a dominant I do not want to make a mistake and hurt my Girl. She uses safewords to let me know that there is something wrong when I might not realize it. Maybe a wrist has gone dangerously numb, or I have touched an emotional nerve she didn't know about.
3. Be willing to say, "This isn't working for me". Then you can talk about it. It might be that a small change will address your concern and enable your dominant to have what he/she wants.
4. Be willing to say, "I really don't like this but I am OK with it if you want to do it". There have been times when I started doing something because I though shewould enjoy it, not because it was something I enjoyed. It would have been a waste if I had kept doing it and neither of us enjoyed it much! On the other hand, there are things I enjoy that she really dislikes, but she has told me I can do them if I want to.
5. Be willing to make mistakes...then learn from them.
I can't consider myself an "Experienced Dominant" since I have only been in a D/s relationship for about 6 years. In a way I think that gives me an advantage. I KNOW I don't know everything, not even close.
