I am a sensual and observant Dom who requires a sub who wants to explore the rewards of being good or like-wise the rewards of being naughty. Chemistry is a must must must. If I am not feeling it... neither will the sub.
Don't mistake the sensual as being soft or romantic, because I find sweet pain and obedience to be rather sensual in and of itself. Sensuality is the necessary balance to the sometimes harsh edge of discipline.
Training a dog is such a good analogy of how obedience should be executed. If you train your dog and discipline him/her harshly and never give the "Atta boy/girl" when they do good, you will end up with an unhappy and potentially mean dog. I don't like mean dogs. I like well obeyed loving dogs who love me unconditionally.
