Seeking Sea Gypsies, looking to escape the rat race and live a little before we go to that big harbour in the sky?
Not sure if this is right site, I'm looking for a lady who's willing to consider a life less ordinary, and the folk here seem to fit the bill :)
It started as a dream, but has become a plan, and a very serious plan with a start date hopefully in the next 12 months. It's quite a simple plan really, let my house and sail off into the sunset, to where ever the fancy take me, it could be the Solent, it could be the South Pacific may be just head south till the butter melts, and then turn left. I've no plans to join the jet set in Monaco (even if I could afford it) nor spend much time in Marinas on the Costa del whatsit.
Whilst I'm generally happy with my own company and I do plan to experience a solo ocean passage at least once before I die, it would be so much much better in the company of a like minded lady.
Who am I?
I've just turned 52 years old, single, no kids nor other dependants. I like to think I'm intelligent, open minded, and non conventional in a low key sort of way.
I have a deep suspicion of authority and of those that think they have a right to impose their view upon me.
I can't claim to be great fan or things artistic or cultural, but then neither have they featured much in my life, so who knows, maybe I'll appreciate them one day :)
I'm don't follow any conventional religion, although I do suspect there's more to life than birth and death. The Buddhist seem to have an interesting take on things, but I'm comfortable with what ever works for you.
So who will you be ?
I don't have any hard and fast expectation, but practical considerations dictate a few specifics.
a) You must be able to pay your own way, I can't afford to support you, sorry.
b) No illegal drugs, not that I have any moral problems with illegal drugs but for sure, we'd end up imprisoned, the boat impounded, or worse, so if you can't live with out them, you won't enjoy the life of a sea gypsy, with me.
Other than that, I'll not be your Master nor you my Mistress, we will be to independent souls on a journey of exploration, both physically and mentally, We would start as ship mates and It would be nice if we morphed into lovers, although that isn't necessarily inevitable.
