A few phrases that frustrate me:
"I'm looking for a more than casual sex." In my experience, most girls care for very little beyond flirtation leading to sex, and meaningful relationships are important only after children with the wrong guy or age 40.
"I like smart guys." Most who say this have any clue what smart guys are actually like. Typically this is a euphemism for trendy clothes or someone who agrees with their current counter-culture self-definition. Smart for me includes multiple areas of deep-knowledge tempered by awareness of one's biases and limitations.
"I'm sick of jerks." There are far more decent guys than single girls. As any chemist will tell you, that disallows for the latter to exist in solution. Before you criticize the male gender, carefully and honestly examine your selection criteria.
That noise out of the way, I'm looking for long term, not a hookup. (It'll take a few hours spent over dinner, coffee, and museums before I'll be anything but a southern gentleman.) I'm naturally Dominant with a 'guide' or 'teacher' flavor. I'm not into bullshit, I know what I know because I love to learn and I love to share knowledge.
Scratch the surface, and I like rough play. I think its by far the most intimate experience one can share with a lover.
I like to tie sometimes. I like floggers and toys, but usually prefer to use hands.
Intensity: think between 4 and 9+ out of 10, but I see my role as one of constantly riding the delicate zone between what feels safe and fear. It is mine to calmly, quietly, steadily push tolerances.
