Hi all, 57 year old professional living in NYC. Formerly in the lifestyle, and miss it.
While I have a very busy professional life I am not a type-A personality. I enjoy art and theater, read a great deal, and love good food and wine. I have an encyclopedic knowledge of New York restaurants, both high and low. Oh, and I love to smoke (yes, I know its bad, yes, I know your lips would never touch the lips of a smoker, I'm sorry, really I am).
As you can probably tell, I do not possess the qualities of a great sub, I'm willful, self-possessed, have an ego the size of a fairly large room, am very confident in myself, and don't do windows. I have also seen enough of life that I have learned not to take everything terribly seriously (although I have a fairly strong moral code when it comes to the really important stuff). I'm not exactly an Adonis, a bit on the portly side, although I still have most of my own hair and in its original color. In short, charming but a bit geeky.
I define myself more as a bottom than a sub. I read that a slave will shine your boots to your specifications, a sub will shine your boots to the best of his ability, and a bottom says "to hell with the boots, beat me". I can relate to that. My relationship to kink is very much about power exchange, I have to be big and scary all day long, and its really exhausting to keep the big and scary thing up all the time.
As my profile says, I have a very complicated relationship status right now, so I am not looking for a committed relationship (and I would be a total hypocrite if I did not disclose that).
