(Anything other than NCIS! but otherwise, Cox Channels TNT, USA, FX, SyFy, TBS - Most shows/movies on those channels, I enjoy)
Books:
My favorite is "Cryptonomicon" by Neal Stephenson. "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy", By Douglas Adams is also an excellent read! Additionally, The Screwtape Letters, by C.S. Lewis. I also like Authors ~ Anne Rice, Robin Cook, and Patricia Cornwell. I prefer Fiction to Non-Fiction.
The 2 books from my childhood favs are "The Velvet Room", and "Half Magic".
Sports:
I am NOT a sports person AT ALL!! I will not watch sports, would prefer to do almost anything else!

I do not mind it when the man I am with points out another woman ~ just do not expect me to change into her all of a sudden either. For those that know me even a little... let me give you one more taste of BigRod71.
OK. I am a wuss... however, I can only take so much, and then, I guess I FINALLY get the HINT to just freakin leave.
Rod just thinks he has a whole handle on the females in his life. He is an idiot. He is not a Dom, nor a sub, nor a switch. He is a user. Everyone that has known him for any spanse in time, knows this. It may take a little time to figure it out, as the lies compile... but in the end, everyone knows the score.
I have been very ill. I had my gallbladder out, and the surgery did not correct any of the problems. Hence, I am still ill. I am under medical care, and I am ok. Just let me give you a glimpse of what has gone on in the background.
I was typically ill on a Saturday afternoon... I talked with Rod... He asked me to come over... He offered to rub my back, take care of me... make some broth, and just let me relax... I told him, I had to take a shower, and I would be over. So, I took my shower, packed my things for the evening... and went over.
When I arrived...an hour later... I knock on the door. Stuff in hand...
His neighbor answers the door looking at me like he has seen a Ghost!!!... He mentions Rod to the door... Rod looks at me like he does not know me... and giggles... I can smell the wackyweed smell by that time... I am invited in.
Next thing I know... Rod sits down at the table, and introduces Machelle. Machelle gives me that "6ft Under" look...and I am in shock...
Rod can not stop giggling... the neighbor is freakin out... and Machelle looks like she is going to deck me...
I leave as quickly as possible.
Now... I realize it is Christmas, but what does that matter? My family wrote Rod off ages ago. Rod thinks that I have forgiven him. My friends... What do you think?

I have dealt with you for over a year. I have driven you places since you can not drive. I have bought food and prepared it for you and your friends when You did not not money to do so. I have taken your dog to the Vet when you could not, when he was sick. I have dealt with you begging money off of your family. I have dealt with you seeing other women. So, I took a day off, just wanted to sleep-in today, after you woke me up 4 ... FOUR times last night. I wake up, which takes me 30 minutes to do so....(I am a night owl) ...And low, and behold, my stuff is packed up at the front door? Telling me to leave -the moment I woke up - because you thought something was broken in the kitchen?
Mind you, I took YOU to get ciggarettes and beer AND Pizza last night. (That I could not eat because I was sick) I cleaned your kitchen - dumping the old food, cleaning all of the dishes, and putting all that much more in dishwasher. Also picked up and cleaned up everything else.
And now... NOW you want to be a little coward again by telling me that you want your key back?
Fine... I am moving on, I did not need this GRIEF anyway... THIS WAS THE LAST STRAW... say Hi to your Mom and Aunt from me, since they will be financing you from now on.

I am VERY well employeed and my current schedule: Work M - F, weekends OFF! I have my own apartment and no roommate(s). The diet has been going quite well, and I have been loosing weight every week for 2 months now... I will continue loosing weight until I reach my GOAL!

Hi again,
OK nearing the 1st 20 day mark, and I am down 19 pounds. I have a few days to go. I am going to Opt for another 20 days on the HcG. I am tired of the injections, but I am doing well on the diet.
I am in the Weightloss Challange for OKC! If I can loose 55 pounds, I will be in the lead! Working for it everyday! Let's see where I am at July 24th!

I have finally had-it with all of this extra weight. I am seeing a Bariatric Doctor and I am on a plan to loose 120+ pounds. If you know me even a little, once I get going on something I will see it through!
So far so good, 8 days in and I have lost 10 pounds...

It is a rare thing...
When I will actually admit to being lonely.
Being alone in crowd is easy. Being alone at home is not so easy.
I make no apologies for my life...
However, it comes to mine that sometimes it would just be nice to just have a few NSA'a out there...
I will not just pick up someone here or there just to use them up or cause them any problems. Just the same, I do not like to date anyone that is leaving someone else alone just to be with me.
That leaves me with a feeling of being alone tonite. Crawling up on the couch with someone and just watching TV would feel... feel like I am wanted and needed again.

Of course, human functioning is influenced by many factors. The success or failure that people experience as they engage the myriad tasks that comprise their lince the many decisions they must make. Also, the knowledge and skills they possess will certainly play critical roles in what they choose to do and not do. Individuals interpret the results of their attainments, however, just as they make judgments about the quality of the knowledge and skills they posses. Imagine, for example, a student who has just received a grade of B on a term paper. In and of itself, attaining a grade of B has no inherent causal properties. What can we predict about how receiving such a grade will affect a student? An "A student" who worked hard on that assignment will view that B in ways quite dissimilar from that of a "C student" who worked equally hard. For the former, the B will be received with disappointment; for the latter, the B is likely to be received with elation. The student accostumed to A's is likely to have his writing confidence bruised; the C-acquainted student is sure to have his confidence boosted.
Bandura's (1997) key contentions as regards the role of self-efficacy beliefs in human functioning is that "people's level of motivation, affective states, and actions are based more on what they believe than on what is objectively true" (p. 2). For this reason, how people behave can often be better predicted by the beliefs they hold about their capabilities than by what they are actually capable of accomplishing, for these self-efficacy perceptions help determine what individuals do with the knowledge and skills they have. This helps explain why people's behaviors are sometimes disjoined from their actual capabilities and why their behavior may differ widely even when they have similar knowledge and skills. For example, many talented people suffer frequent (and sometimes debilitating) bouts of self-doubt about capabilities they clearly possess, just as many individuals are confident about what they can accomplish despite possessing a modest repertoire of skills. It is mentioned ... that our entire bodies change every 7 years. Facial features change even more often. We age... we find more of ourselves.
Our human experience... How we experience the every day... changes as we move forward in our lives.
What do we love about ourselves>? The fact we can face each challenge... or the fact we made it through... and look for more?
Are we able to more forward?

BDSM = Bondage & Discipline,
Dominance & Submission, S&M
BDSM is a convenient abbreviation for most of the interesting activities discussed in alt.sex.bondage. It's so convenient that it packs six initials into four letters: B&D/D&S/S&M =>
BDSM. It's generally understood to include related activities/phenomena that don't fit strictly into any of those three catagories. An "umbrella term" like this is useful because so few actual (as opposed to theoretical) activities fit into _only_ one catagory.
Bondage deals with tying people up (or being tied up). Or chaining them up, or restraining them with straps, or straightjackets, or ... well, you get the idea, no? In theory it can be enjoyed simply
for its own sake -- the sensations and images of it. In fact, some people do enjoy bondage as bondage, without any interest in D&S or S&M, but far more people find it pushes their D&S
buttons at the same time, or use it only for the D&S aspects, or combine it with D&S and/or S&M.
Dominance and submission deals with exchange of power, trust, obedience, role-playing, "slavery"
... one person submitting to the commands of another. Like bondage, it can exist as a separate phenomenon, but it's likely to incorporate the others. Bondage may be used to enhance the feeling of submission. Pain-play (i.e. S&M) may be used to emphasize the position the submissive is in or as punishments for disobedience.
S&M sort of stands for "sadism and masochism", but not quite the same way the psychiatric establishment uses those terms. So it's less confusing to keep the phrase tidily together as "S&M". S&M involves strong sensations. It's associated with pain, in particular, in most people's minds, but in fact pain is only one class of sensations used. Furthermore, some stimuli which would ordinarily
be perceived as pain are not perceived as pain by some participants when in an S&M headspace!
(Note that I said "some".) While I don't have statistics on this, it's my impression that S&M is the one phenomenon of these most likely to occur without the others. Nonetheless, it is quite common for one's interest in S&M to be in the context of bondage or D&S (the pain makes it so very much clearer that one can't get away because one is tied up, for example) or simply _alongside_ an interest in bondage and/or D&S.
Interestingly, while most "vanilla" (i.e. not-into-BDSM) people do not consider tickling to be a BDSM activity, many BDSM folks do.
More terminology
Some people like to tie people up, whip people, or give orders. Others like to be tied up, like to be spanked or whipped, or like to obey. Because so many of the words one might use to describe
these preferences seem specific to just one aspect of BDSM, push people's buttons, or only fit the ways some people play, folks in the scene use the generic terms "top" and "bottom". (Note that these words have a different meaning in gay male culture, if I'm not mistaken.)
In bondage, a top likes to tie up bottoms. In S/M, a top likes to provide strong stimulation (pain or otherwise) to a bottom. In D&S, a top orders or controls a bottom. A "switch" is someone who
enjoys being both a top and a bottom.
Note that it's not always the top who's in control of things -- in fact, much less often than the other way around! For example, a bottom might ask to be tied up, and his or her top might decide to
honour that request, asking the bottom if there were any particular things he or she wanted the top to do to him or her tonight. Also, many people use "safewords", code phrases that mean, "I'm not just playing, I really need you to stop." If a couple uses a safeword, the bottom can stop the current activity by using the safeword.
Some people claim that the bottom is always the one who's really in control, no matter how things look. They're mostly right, but things can get more complicated.
