The Vanilla Me
I was once labelled as a “geeky nerd”. I have my geek tendencies but am very much a nerd.
I love to read and write and help out friends by editing their writing. I like working with numbers and enjoy organizing spaces (although my personal space is most accurately defined as 'organized chaos').
I love movies and music. I used to love to dance and would like to start that again. I love going to museums, any type of museum. I like concerts, operas, play, theatre and art of any kind.
I play World of Warcraft (For the Horde). My most commonly used programs on my computer are Open Office, Calibre, Minesweeper and Hearts.
I listen to almost every type of music. There are some that annoy me more than others but if I'm in the mood, anything goes. My least favourite type of music is Hip Hop. I grew up on classic country and the oldies so I have a soft spot for those. My favourite musician changes almost daily, it really depends on what mood I'm in. Long time favourites include U2, Diablo Swing Orchestra, Buddy Holly, Ella Fitzgerald, Vivaldi, Andrew Lloyd Webber. New favourites include Adele, Erik Friedlander, Florence and the Machine, Christina Perri.
I read almost anything as well. I most often read fiction but have been known to go on non-fiction kicks where I read as much as I can about a specific topic. I'm a sucker for fluffy romance. Favourite authors include Kelley Armstrong, Nora Roberts, Jack Whyte, Jordan Castillo Price, Patricia Briggs, Marion Zimmer Bradley, Bryce Courtney, Charles deLint (I'm currently heavily into scifi/fantasy as can be seen from my favourites list). I can never answer the question “What book would you take if you could only read one book for the rest of your life?”. That's an impossible question for me.
Movies, like everything else, are enjoyed in wide variety. My least favourite genre is the pyschological horror. I couldn't sleep for a week after seeing Silence of the Lambs. I'm not too into horror but enjoy it as long as I have someone to cling to and hide against at times. Like books and musics, I have a hard time picking favourites. Current favourites include the LOTR trilogy, Les Miserables (which I adored as a broadway show as well), Pitch Perfect, Autumn Rush, the Xmen movies, and 'classic' Disney such as the Lion King, Aladdin, etc.
I'm currently not working but am actively looking for a job. I'm a customer service expert with over a decade of experience in the hospitality industry. I would love to go back to school for a bookkeeping certificate. I would love to own my own bookkeeping company so that I could work from home and continue to do free-lance editing and writing.
I don't have a favourite colour. It changes depending on what the colour is on. For example, yellow is a pretty colour for flowers but an absolutely horrid colour for bathroom paint. I like purple flowers, pink shirts, blue jeans, and multi-coloured socks.
Hmm, what else? I hate shopping, unless it's for books and music. I hate crowds unless it's at a concert or big event such as that. I'm an introvert and go days without speaking aloud. I talk to inanimate s all the time but only worry if they speak back. I name things such as my computer (Igor).
I live by a few simple rules. Maturity is knowing when and where to be immature. Respect. Love. Generosity. Compassion. Do not fear death, fear the unlived life. Live and let live.
The Kinky Me
I don't know much about the kinky me. I have very limited experience and have tried very little that I don't know what I'm into.
I've read a lot, talked to some people (not as many as I should), been to only a couple socials/munches/whatevers (and that was over a year ago), and read some more. I've looked at and filled out checklists and questionnaires galore. Too much of those checklists are listed as “unsure” or “willing to try”.
The only hard limits I have are: scat, urine, blood, anything illegal, kids, animals, anything that will leave permanent damage or marks, hard beatings and anything that would interfere with living my normal daily life. I'll include drugs, alcohol and smoking on the list of hard limits as well.
This leaves a lot open, but again, that's from my lack of knowledge. I don't know how I will react to things so there may be plenty of things that I find I can not do when I encounter them.
My soft limits include the things that scare the bejeebus out of me just from reading or thinking about it. These include: breath play (including strangulation, being put under water, holding the mouth and nose closed or anything else that blocks the ability to breath), full hoods, small enclosed spaces, things that need lots of training such as needles, play piercing, electro-play, fire. I'm sure there are a lot more. I'll have to re-read some of those checklists and questionnaires.
I'm interested in learning more about a full 24/7 Total Power Exchange. I don't know if I would ever enter into such an arrangement, but it has it's appeal. I love the idea of willingly handing over complete control of myself to someone else with the absolute belief that they know better than I.
I'm interested in learning more about Gor and the Gorean lifestyle. Beyond that, I'm interested in the protocols and rituals that go along with it. I like the idea of having specific ways to behave, stand, sit, speak and more. This goes along with the 24/7 TPE. I like the idea but don't know if I could live in such a way.
I like being tied up and bound. I like blindfolds and other sensory deprivation. I enjoy being used for someone else's pleasure. I like the idea of multiple people using me (I love the fantasy of a gang bang and having all three holes filled at once but that's fantasy). I like the idea of being available for someone's use at all times with little focus being put on my own pleasure.
I like collars and leashes. I like the idea of being caged, put in stocks, being chained and manacled. I like the idea of outdoor and public sex, of exhibitionism and voyeurism.
I'm not into pain. I'm not a masochist. Pain is best left as a punishment for severe infractions. I do not get aroused by the idea of it. That being said, spanking is something I'd be willing to try. As are things such as nipple and clit clamps. I'm okay trying things that may sting a bit, but not give full out pain.
I like the idea of being a much loved, and spoiled pet. I wouldn't want to be completely dehumanized, but being a beloved pet has it's appeal.
I wish there were more to say here, but I just don't know enough about my likes and dislikes to include more.
If you want to know my thoughts on something specific, please ask and I'll say as much as I can.
