I've been a husband and father, now I am neither.

I've had my moments of dark despair, survived it and survived deeper ones that awaited me further on the road of life and still prevailed.

I maintain my cynicism, but I've learned a greater compassion for those who I can make their day that little bit brighter.

I know there is no certainty, I've seen my life change due to things beyond my control.

I am a paradox, not a contradiction, I am a man of two worlds.

I choose to live, not simply exist or cower and it cost me everything I once held dear or important.

I have faced and survived the consequences of my life choices.
