Visited the annual erotic Dirty Detroit art show. Sunday afternoon showing.

By no means I'm a prude and enjoy good art. Been to this show perhaps 6 times over the years, have to say while there were some really amazing art, but for the most part not so great. Guess the theme was to utilize shock value. IMO, it's a cheap shot and someone really is left creatively vacant, without much else to offer other than low level "porn art"

In no way am I sexually jaded either. It's like I have the entire internet to view porn, big deal. So why fill it in an art exhibit. Maybe there is something I don't get?

In the mean while, the good art was amazing and well worth mentioning.  The one piece thought was cool, a photograph of only female lips with heavy lipstick, mouth slightly opened. That was very erotic and suggestive.  

The show was heavy on photographic works, as in the past years. 

This year was just okay, been to better in the past. Shoot, I just might submit some works for next year. The worst can happen is they reject it, wouldn't affect me one bit. 

Well, anyway that's it for this year's show.
