Fascinating - and maybe not.
Having found this site by means of someone's reference to it in another site, I was pleased to discover what I thought could be a better way to find the one I have been seeking.
Yet, in so many ways this site is like the others, both mainstream and alternative: males outnumbering females by a wide margin, females openly complaining about the impersonal and boorish behavior of the men who contact them, both sexes complaining about disrespect, bad manners, selfishness, and e-mails that are obviously cut-and-paste projects written so badly the authors need remedial classes in basic writing skills.
Still, there is hope - at least that is how I have always viewed things in my life. My search will continue until I find the one I can love, care for, and protect, whether I accomplish that task on this site or one of hundreds just like it.
It will require perseverence, but that has always been part of my basic character, along with loyalty and a sense of responsibility for myself and my actions.
What I want will come in due time, if I stay the course and remember that the worthwhile things always take longer to achieve.
