I'm not necessarily looking for a relationship right now, but I'm not not looking, either. If someone comes along I wouldn't pass up the opportunity. I have very strong opinions and goals. I've got a brain in my head, and I use it. Some have said this means I'm not a submissive at all. Not your submissive clearly, is my reply to that. For me, submission stems from respect and trust, and those things are not automatic.
If you don't want a sub who will, on occasion (and particularly at the beginning), push the boundaries and test the limits - though never in a disrespectful way - again I'm not for you. I've had past relationships where my partner's dominance waned significantly the longer the relationship went on. Because of this, I suppose you could posit that I test the boundaries because I want to make sure a person is truly dominant, and not merely putting on a show.

Perhaps I'm just dense, but when I get a comment like, "I'm interesting in talking to you more," and I respond that I'm amenable, then nothing but silence follows I get...confused. Was I supposed to launch right into my life story? Is that considered sufficient prompting?
It could just be the character trait I've (not developed, I've always been this way) sharpened as a consequence of my profession, but I answer only the question asked, without volunteering further information; it's what I want people to do, it's what I do. |

I really do love my job. I wake up excited to go to work in the morning, and I come home happy (mostly; to say nothing ever pisses me off would be a lie). It's a great feeling knowing I made the right choice about what career path I wanted - and it's pretty sad to realize how many people don't feel the same way. |

1.? It seems to require repeating that I am not interested in anyone old enough to have gone to high school with my father or, worse, my grandfather.? Messages from anyone over 45 are automatically routed to my Bulk Mail folder; which I may or may not read in times of extreme boredom.? You're not the exception.? I don't make them.
2.? I'm not a grammar nazi.? Everyone makes mistakes, including myself.? Sometimes, the rules are meant to be broken.? But 4 years as an editor of fiction, and a lifetime as a writer means errors stand out to me like red stains on white sheets.? I'm not asking for dissertations or literary masterpieces.? The internet is a medium of written communication, however, and since you've chosen to use it, you should at least make an attempt to be intelligible.?
3.? As a companion to 2, one of my largest pet peeves is "u."? How much time have you actually saved by eliminating the "y" and the "o?"? Both are within 2 keys of the "u."? If you're texting from a cell phone, I get it.? That's excusable.? If you've got a full keyboard in front of you, what's the point?? Think about it.

If a person sends you a message saying that you seem to have some issues to work out within yourself, do not:
1.? repeatedly message them with 3 or more different accounts telling them to kill themselves;
2.? find their IM and send them messages calling them c*nt wh*res.
This will do nothing more than prove their point about you needing serious psychotherapy.?? It won't hurt their feelings.? They don't care: they already know you're a nutter.?
Also, as an aside, you never do know who you're talking to online.? That person could be a cop.? Or a fed.? Or a criminal prosecutor.? Or someone on your same level of mental batshitness.?

1.? I am not a smoker...any more.? I quit several months ago, and would prefer someone else who is smoke-free.? I've no moral objection to it, it's just still damn hard to be around it.
