BDSM is exceedingly erotic and fulfilling; elaborate (and even simple) bondage can hold immense aesthetic value. BDSM is a part of my life that has developed and matured over the years, and will continue to do so for years to come. BDSM is a part of my life, but it is not the only part of my life. I suspect that there are more people like me out there, and even here on this site. A scene can last several hours or several days, and I might be the top or the bottom, but when it is over I consider my partner and myself to be equal.

I have always considered myself to be a switch, but have only grown into that role and understood what it really means in the last year or so. Although it depends upon the person and the scene, I tend to have a moderately greater propensity for being submissive. Conversely, exploring my dominant side has been immensely enjoyable and equally revealing. I would like find someone who will appreciate my dominant side, but who will also take pleasure in my submission. I am always looking for new friends and those who just want to share experiences.

I have liked horses (real horses, as in Equus Caballus) since I was young, and I spend as much time as I can riding (eventing if you’re curious). My undergraduate degree was in physics and chemistry, and my M.A. in Chemistry, so, of course, I find myself interested in literature and history now. I do enjoy “intellectual discourse,” hackneyed as the term may be, but also the occasional idle chat. I am currently a graduate student in the biomedical sciences.

I suppose I should mention that I tend to have a rather facetious and cynical sense of humor (a defense mechanism of some sort, no doubt); it’s usually kept in check, but just an FYI.

I recently realized that I never put what I'm looking for, but it never occurred to me before because I don't have any particular type of person in mind...if we have chemistry and can keep up a conversation, then nothing else matters. This probably doesn't help, but it's the best I can offer right now.
