I believe that the most important part of finding what I am looking for here is being flexible. Like everyone here, I have a fantasy version of what a relationship in the lifestyle will look like. Everything's perfect, including me. Unfortunately it does not take into account the wildly varying views on what a d/s relationship should look like. That is why flexibility is so key, because there are so many different things to try and so many people with differing experience levels that being rigid and only wanting to live out a few cemented fantasies is a disservice to yourself and anyone you are sharing the experience with. I just hope that when the time comes, I'm able to make this philosophy a reality.
