About Me
I have played BDSM games 'in the closet' for most of my life. At least when I could work up the courage to ask and when I had a partner who was willing. Suddenly I have found myself at a space in life where I'm free to go out and explore. So I'm trying to become part of the local community. As for the other part of my life, I am an IT professional. I also do websites on the side (anybody need an inexpensive website?). I have two masters degrees (ask me if you are curious) and enjoy continuing to read and study on a variety of subjects. I live for the Renaissance festival (no, I don't have a costume ? yet). To stay physically fit, I do Tae Kwon Do, I bike and I like to go hiking on trails in the country and around the city.

Growing up, on road trips we would stop at Stucky's and other similar places. Almost always there were souvenir paddles with cute little sayings on them. Back in those days, paddling was acceptable and I'm sure the roadside dinners sold them as much for mementos as they did to help frustrated moms and dads out who had left some important disciplinary tools at home. I know on our road trips, my sister and I would drive our parents crazy with our constant bickering. Mom and dad would certainly threaten to buy one of the paddles and use it on us (or stop and cut a switch) but, alas, all the ever used were their hands or, if we were bad enough, the flyswatter in the motel room.
They aren't as popular anymore but still, whenever I happen to be in one of those roadside dinners I look for the souvenir paddles and stare at them in dark erotic fascination. Having had the chance to finally be on the receiving end of one later in my adult years, I know they are just toys and don't carry enough sting to really do the job proper – maybe a warmup. (A nice whippy switch though …)
So I've always had a thing for wooden paddles. Blindfold me and gag me and it doesn't really matter what you use as long as it is stingy enough (stings not thuds). Or put someone across my knee and, once they start wiggling and dancing, it really is less important what is making them wiggle and dance. But as a symbol of disciplinary authority, the wooden paddle is up there, just above the hairbrush in my opinion. Every household should have one or two around … just in case of emergencies.
Over the years I've had some opportunities to play spanking games but I really haven't been able to participate in the community, for various reasons. But I've reached an age where if I don't get out and do something, it isn't going to happen. My significant other is somewhat supportive and is urging me to go out and explore (just don't bring anything home).
