Aufhebung, Aufhebung, that's what the Germans call it. Well actually that's what the German philosopher Georg Wilhem Friedrich Hegel called it. It is the result of two dialectically opposed forces who do not cancel eachother out but create something anew. In the opposition something new is born. All of my life I've been a person who gets what he wants, not by aggression or force but by analyzing situations and bending the very of structure of them to my will. This has helped me gain academic success as well as success in sports and social life. Paradoxically, I've also had feelings of servitude: Self-servitude I guess you could call it, I made rules for myself and sticked to them: It is the way to truly liberate yourself (yes, by having no self legislature you are not more free: you are only more random, and you will not be able create a single identity through time. In other words: You will never be the person you want to be) This projected itself on my weak spot for girls: I love girls, and I want them to feel good about themselves and be happy. I thus created an inner law that forced me to please woman,and I thought what better way is there other than to subjugate yourself to them and let them use your intellect and skill to better their lives. This created an inner opposition of dominant hierarchal behaviour combined with self-legislated servitude. This opposition is now 'aufgehoben,' I've transcended to a new man, a man who uses the totally of his being to better the lives of others. Not by serving, but by ruling.
