Well, I guess it's finally time to add something here. I've been on CollarMe on and off for maybe 9 months now.
I'm a life long Dominant who is has been in southern CA for a little more than three years. I'm 48 now, but my first thoughts about the control of women go back to 10 or 11; my first D/s flavored relationship was at 17. It's been a part of my life, one way or another, ever since.
I'm probably not going to go through the hundreds of interests available here - I'm not sure that really helps you understand who I am or why you might want to spend time with me. I've also found over the years that every submissive is unique, every relationship I've had with a sub was unique and I was inherently different myself with each of them. Other than a mutual desire for exploration and the basic assumption that one of us (me) would be in charge of that exploration, the variety of it all has been extraordinary. That experience has left me with more of a desire to help a sub get from one place to another rather than a series of acts that must be performed for me to be satisfied. How discipline has worked in my relationships is a good example - while I don't consider myself to be inherently sadistic, I do have a very well developed sadistic side. If I'm with a submissive that can both handle that and appreciate it's erotic potential, great. If not, that's ok - we will find other, better ways to get under your skin.
I'm also very private about what I do. I doubt you will ever see me at a munch or participating in the D/s community. You will also never see my picture in a profile, though I certainly have one to share with people that I have gotten to know well. In short, neither my employers nor my employees (of which there are many) need to know anything about this part of my life.
I can't say D/s is a lifestyle for me - I really have far to many other really interesting, fun and demanding things going on in my life. But D/s is a very important, if not essential, slice of who I am. If it's that way for you we might get along very nicely.
While CollarMe is a great place for like minded people to meet, communicating here seems next to impossible. I use the same ID . . . OCDominantMan . . . on Yahoo and AOL, where it's much easier to have a conversation. And for me, this really is all about the conversation . . . the one that starts with us talking and sharing, than moves to the motivation and erotica we feel in our minds, all the way to the pain, pleasure and extremes our bodies will enjoy together . . . which is a level of communication that language doesn't handle well. Isn't that the kind of conversation you're looking for too?
