After a recent experience I think that it should be stated that I'm single. I have been for over two years. This largely has to do with a growing understanding that I can't simply have a vanilla (or vanillaish) partner any longer. It is better to be alone than with the wrong person and while you love someone it doesn't necessarily mean you're supposed to be with them. I'm a daddy and that is who I need to be. For as long as I can remember I've been the caretaker in my relationships. At first it seemed like a burden but then I came to realize that it is simply part of who I am and began to recognize that I attracted those that needed care in some fashion. It took a while for me to put that together with being a Daddy but once I did I haven't looked back. It just feels right.
As for the me outside of caring for littles, there are a myriad of likes. Here are a few:
- philosophy
- psychology and neuroscience
- literature
- cooking
- gardening
- museums
- art
so on and so forth.
