Why does a person have to conform to some misguided philosophical criteria of what a Dom or sub suppose to be?

Why does a person has to be a picture perfect image of someone's elses perception of what a Dom or sub suppose to be?

Why can't I can't be just uniquely designed the way I am and still be worthy ?

Where is it written that I have to be this or that?

Why can't a person enjoy laughing,joking,and being silly but yet still lead as a Dom or a sub serve fully in her submission?

Ok, this maybe a little naive of me but Im confused about something. I've read many profiles on CM and most are all the same. Blah blah blah blah! But something I've read alot of is how many subs state in their profiles is how their Dom Or Domme have given them permission to learn and experience new things. I was under the thought if a sub has chosen a Dom or Domme then whatever she seeks, need to learn, or experience then the reason they chose that particular Dom or Domme is because that person displayed the ability to lead, teach, guide, or have the ability to be a go to source for the sub's growth and needs. Keeping in mind that no one person knows everything therefore it's the Dom's or Domme's responsibility to research or familiarize themselves with whatever the sub is curious about or doesnt know. This reducing the sub's need to explore and learn from other sources which increases the bond between the Dom/Domme and the sub. Isn't a true D/s relationship is about learning eachother and growing together within that dynamic? I totally believe that people can learn from other people but nobody can teach you how to please the one you are with. And far as experiencing new things isnt it better to experience something new with the person you chose to trust then with someone who wouldnt be as concerned with your care as the one you chose to serve? Am I over thinking this? Am I right or wrong? Things that make you go Hmmm?
