The addage "Sex is 90% Mental" is nowhere more true than in alternative lifestyles. A Dom has to be creative enough to invent new punishments, new positions, new games, new methods of control, and new ways to manipulate. Otherwise, the relationship will just become conventional, vanilla, boring.

I am in this scene more for the Discipline and not so much the Sadism aspect. I do not inflict pain for my own pleasure; I only use it as a tool to re-enforce the mental control that already exists. I view physical activities as manifestations of what is already achieved in the mind. For example, sexual intercourse is an outward expression for the mental union between two people. The physical pleasure I reward my Sub only reflects the pride and appreciation my Sub deserves. Likewise, the punishment my Sub receives only represents the profound disappointment I have for the Sub. For that very reason, no physical scar or damage should remain after the punishment is over. Only a mental imprint should remain.
