I'm not exactly model material but still in pretty good shape, quite solidly built, with a bit of extra padding but definitely no couch potato. I keep reasonably fit through martial arts (Aikido)
I am rather shy and don't tend to talk much... at least not until I get to know someone well, and even then I prefer to not say much unless it is worth saying.
I am very happily married and my wife an I have been involved in BDSM, and swinging, for several years now.
I'm interested in friendship and play initially but open to the idea of a more serious polyamorous relationship should I meet the right person, but in no real hurry to do so... would prefer just to take the time and let things progress at their own speed
Oh, and two more things...
You must be in Christchurch, NZ (I'm sick of getting messages from people in the US, Indonesia, etc... If I'm here and you're there then it simply isn't going to happen)
Also I tend to ignore messages which don't have more than one sentence or which contain 'txt spk'. If you can't show that basic level of intelligence then I'm simply not interested.

UBQ Picnic Sunday 16th March...
I thought that we'd might as well make the most of the good weather while we have some (he says, looking outside at the rain) so how a picinic in the gardens... seemed to work well for the last UB munch. Anyway, on Sunday the 16th there is a band named Raggamuffin Children playing in the central lawn at the botanic gardens as part of the SummerTimes program. They'll be performing from 3:30pm to 5pm, so how about if we turn up from about 3pm onwards and enjoy a nice picnic and chance to chat. Bring something to eat, picnic blanket, seats etc and we'll find a way to make ourselves known... how about a couple of red and black balloons again? Usually seems to work well.
BTW, the central lawn is between the rose garden and the peace bell.

Ok, well, we're back from our OE in Europe and it seems that UBQ has pretty much dissapeared during our absence.
Time to do something about that I think, but what to do???
I was thinking that meeting at the free jazz concert in the gardens (Lazy Sunday) for a picnic would be a good idea but this weekend is a little too close and next weekend there is no concert.
Might just have to make it a get together for coffee or whatever again unless I can come up with something more interesting.
I'll get my thinking cap on and see what happens. Whatever it will be, it will probably be next weekend or during the following week. I'll post something on here (and Uncommon Bonds list etc) over the next couple days.
For those who don't know, UBQ is a special interest group which is part of the Uncommon Bonds BDSM group. Our intention is to provide a way for Gay, Lesbian, Bi and Transgender members of the kinky community to meet, chat, and discuss matters relavant to us.

Slightly late report on last UBQ meeting
Appologies for the slightly late report on the UBQ meeting last week. It was reasonably well attended... from memory we had eight people there (mostly new faces since last time) and quite a few more that couldn't make it this time, which is largely my fault really, I should have got the reminded message out earlier. Again, we had a good time just generally socialising, chatting and drinking coffee.
The next meeting of UBQ will be near the end of this month (probably the last Tuesday, the 27th, but that is still to be confirmed). I will post a reminder closer to the time.
Since we've had a couple general 'socialising' type meetings now, I'd like to start a discussion at the next meeting on how UBQ (and UncommonBonds) can better meet the needs of the kinky GLBT community. Between now and then you have a chance to think of anything that you would like to bring up... whether it be related to education, the way play spaces at parties are layed out, your general thoughts and feelings, etc.

Next meeting of UBQ, Tues 30th January
The next meeting of UBQ (the GLBT special interest group which is part of UncommonBonds) will be on Tuesday Night, 30th January, 7pm, at "The Coffee House" (290 Montreal St)
I'll book a table and, like last time, will try to have a black balloon on it for anyone who doesn't recognise me.
The last meeting had a pretty good turn out with seven people there and several others who made the apologies as they couldn't make it on the night. Hopefully we will see some of them there this time.
The idea of the evening is to get together over a coffee and chat/socialise and also discuss anything that relates to BDSM within the GLBT community.
We look forward to seeing you there...

UBQ Meeting
Well, last night we had the first get together of the UBQ special interest group. This is a sub-group of UncommonBonds aimed at the Gay/Lesbian/Bi/Transgender members of the Christchurch BDSM community.
It was quite a nice evening, 7 people turned up and several more sent their appologies as they just couldn't make due to other commitments. We had a coffee and a bit of a chat... just general socialising, which was the purpose of the evening.
I will organise another get together in a few weeks at which point we'll see if there are any issues specifically relating to the kinky Christchurch GLBT community which could be better catered to by UncommonBonds.
