About MyDevotionToYou
I am a man who is grounded yet playful, cerebral and inquisitive, kind and passionate. I value communication, loyalty, honesty, and integrity - I do my best to treat others the way I want to be treated. I feel grateful for and appreciate the small and simple things in life. I am a critically reflective thinker and question social norms and dominant discourses. I am also a free spirit with a zest for life and an open mind. I embrace silly moments and freely laugh until my insides feel like they’re going to burst.
I am comfortable in my own skin and would not want to be in my twenties again! I didn’t know my mind and body as well as I do now. I am always stretching myself to grow emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually. I admit when I'm wrong, learn from my mistakes, and take ownership. I am looking for a person who shares these qualities, has resolved past obstacles, and is emotionally healthy. I believe that everything can be talked about and processed.
I lead a healthy and active lifestyle, which includes swimming and hiking. Running is a meditative experience, which makes me feel strong, energized, and connected. My running goals include a half marathon and an obstacle race (running through mud sounds squishy yet intriguing!!!). I love nature, especially the peacefulness of being immersed in or surrounded by water - I think I was a fish in a previous life. I would like to learn how to rock climb, rappel, dragon boat, and Latin dance (the tango makes me swoon!).
I am interested in culture, art, architecture, and design. As a hobby, I paint abstract canvases. I am always open to adventure: listening to live music; seeing the ballet, exploring festivals, farmers markets, and flea markets; eating yummy brunches; and, strolling in parks and diverse neighborhoods.
And now to be completely random...
I occasionally fight both pirates and ninjas, though never at the same time and don't have a preference as to one or the other. I may also have super powers.
