The vanilla me: My life isn’t perfect, but it’s certainly moving in that direction and is pretty satisfying as it is. A vertical move in my career brought me to Virginia about a year-and-a-half ago. Leaving family and friends behind and having to build a new support system has its challenges, but for the most part I’m happy here and am continually becoming healthier and more content the longer I stay.
I am a working professional and quite dedicated to a job I'm very passionate about. I usually work 50+ hours per week. My field especially requires “putting in your time in the trenches” to be successful and I believe this is the appropriate time in my life for that. Like a lot of people in this stage of their lives, I worry a little about how things are going to turn out but try not to indulge those thoughts too much.
When I have time off, I enjoy spending time with family/friends/my awesome dog, reading, movies, restaurants, live music, trying new recipes, good conversation paired with good beer or wine, scenic drives and visiting museums, zoos and art galleries.
My sensitivity is both my greatest strength and biggest challenge. I'm very loving, compassionate and devoted, but have to be careful not to be overly sensitive. My primary focus in life is love, of every type, not merely romantic, though that's a breathtaking kind indeed. I live for the simple wonders in life: a beautiful song, a midnight swim under the glistening moon, my dog's wagging tail when I return home from work, laughing with my best friend, time spent with family, reading in bed on Saturday morning, surprise snowfalls, accomplishing something important. I am also a questioner and slightly prone to cynicism. One might say I fall somewhere between “realist” and “dreamer.” My sweet side often wins out, but there are times when that sweet side makes my sarcastic side want to throw up. ;)
I am both an avid reader and aspiring writer. My favorite books are the ones that have reawakened me, breathed new life into my soul and opened my eyes to see life and humanity in a way I couldn’t before. I can only hope to create a work like that one day. I am endlessly curious and appreciate learning for its own sake. I function on a plane of questions rather than answers and I'm paradoxical in more ways than one. I laugh often and smile easily. I have a witty, sometimes dark and sometimes snarky, sense of humor. Under my shy exterior, I'm fun-loving and can be quite adventurous. I value authentic, conscious living and genuine expression of oneself and sharing with others.
In addition to friends and fun, I'm looking for a partner or partners to share this all with.
After a long period of soul-searching (which has by no means ended), I have a pretty good handle on what I want and need in a romantic partner. I am currently practicing polyamory, though I do not have a primary partner at this time. With a life partner, I am open to both monogamy and polyamory. With the right partner, I believe I could be happy with either of these relationship types. With any partner, be it a monogamous life partner or secondary poly partner, I'd like someone within 15 years of my age who is loving and compassionate, has a professional career and identified long range goals and with whom I have shared interests. Among my partners, be it just one or more, I’d like a Daddy who is also my Dominant or Master. As I said before, I’m open to monogamy. In order for that to work, I believe I need a partner who embodies all of these qualities. I'm able and willing to offer much in return.
The kinky me: Within the lifestyle, I identify as a little girl and submissive. I'm a mature self-sufficient adult with a playful, loving little girl side. My little side seeks a Daddy to mentor and protect me, share affection, hold me and tuck me in at night. I also have a deep desire to submit, to give up control and feel safe and cared for when I do so. A D/s or M/s relationship, or any type of relationship, requires time to build trust and shared understanding.
