Having considered if I would like a live in slave, here are my thoughts.
I am sure lots of Doms would consider having a live in slave.
Most of the time it is the practicalities that stop it happening. All sides have to be realistic about what they want to achieve.
If you want to be kept in full rubber, fucked and used by a football team nightly and kept in a box the rest of the time, I am sure there is a place on the Internet to explore that wank fantasy.
If you want a life governed by a rule set, to serve another domestically as well as kink/sexually, to become relied upon and an extension of the Dom then I am sure your on the right path to finding a live in position.
The Dom has to be capable of giving you what you need, on the basic physical level, on an emotional level and the space to allow you to develop as a person.
I expect a live in slave to keep house, service our other kink needs, to have a part time job or study, to have a hobby, to have discretion, honesty and to be able to have hold a conversation with my mother on the odd occasion she visits (if you can manage her the rest of the world is easy).
