About moonagedaydreams
I'm a dreamer, an idealist. I moved across the country for a relationship that didn't work out. I stayed because New York managed to seduce me. Do you ever have that feeling at 3 am? The one where you're on the subway coming home, you glance at the person sitting across from you and suddenly find yourself overcome with awe and tenderness? Sometimes it happens to me in bars, or when I look up in the night sky and see the lights of a plane flying low overhead. I live for those instants...knowing we're all in this together, fucking things up, making messes, trying to pick up the pieces.
I'm here looking for a connection, really. I can be mercurial, capricious. I want someone that can balance and complement that energy. Let's push each other to be our best selves. Let's write each other cheesy love letters, listen to Beethoven and My Bloody Valentine at midnight, give ourselves over to the distortion and static that courses through everything.
Scratch the surface of a cynic and you'll find a romantic. Trite, but accurate in my case. My desire to submit comes ultimately from a desire for the deepest intimacy, openness and vulnerability. This submission will arise from a place of love and trust. I've tried ignoring these stirrings or pushing them away, but it's becoming more difficult to settle. I'm tired of pretending.
