About mildlywarped
I've been actively kinky as long as I've been, well, active, so at this point, I can say with a fair degree of certainty that this is something I want. Of course, there are still all sorts of kinks I need to iron out (har har) regarding what drives me to do this, but I figure that the process of figuring it all out will be quite enjoyable regardless, so why not dive into it headfirst?
With that bit of philosophy out of the way... I'm a quite tall, sometimes awkward, subtly foreign, post college techie with a nerdy streak a mile wide. I'm also an unrepentant hedonist, though I'm sure that isn't a particularly unusual trait around these parts. The nerdery comes from a lifetime of tinkering with technology, delving into scientific study, reading trashy science fiction novels, being introduced to Dungeons and Dragons at an early age, and keeping good company. The hedonism, on the other hand, comes from acceptance and comfort with my own nature; a trait that I find appealing in others and find is more common in the scene than in most other places.
My introduction to kink was quite accidental; she never knew that she was such an eager masochist, and I hadn't imagined that I would enjoy using such unconventional means to enthrall completely. Since then, the particulars of the play have expanded, but the base motivation has remained the same; using the fantasies and desires of others to hold power over them, and have a great bit of fun in the process. Wresting control away from another while they love every moment of it and doing so with as much sensuality and enthusiasm as possible. The specifics have never mattered as much as the end result, and though I do have a particular fondness for physically visceral and aggressive fast-paced play, I've received lovely results from methodical floggings, harsh discipline, complete restraint, exhibitionism of all sorts, a variety of role playing from the amusing to the erotic and even some good ol' fashioned vanilla fornicating, when the mood strikes. Not that these varied exploits weren't fun on their own merits, but the thrill of it, the reason why I crave kink, was the feeling of overwhelming lust and helpless submission that they created, and the control I felt from it.
I've been active in the scene on and off (mostly off as of late) for the past four years, and quite a bit longer in my private life. Lately I've felt more motivated to re-enter the public scene, as much for the eccentric yet warm and welcoming community as the aforementioned power exchange and other delightful play.
