Ive recently turned 27. Strange what a year will do to a person... hell, strange what a few months will do to a person.
A few months have changed me- I've hit rock bottom a few times, I've
had absolute joy, I've faced adversity, made life-changing decisions,
gone out on a limb, and broken bonds that held me together.I wax and
wane in the lifestyle, and I shift between Top and bottom, Domina and
submissive, depending on my moods, my hormones, current relationships,
stress, joy, etc. I am in a much more Top space lately, than I have
been for quite some time. Or perhaps, I have been moving towards this
space for a while.
I am married. My husband is first and foremost. For those of you
nut-jobs out there that believe that just because I'm female, I'm
submissive, I'd like to clarify just one point- while my husband and I
do not engage in the Lifestyle together (he has no interest), I wear
the pants. He's not submissive, I am simply the (far) more dominant of
the two of us.
I'm beginning to build a home business right now- I've been at it a
few months, and it's tough, but I'm working through it. I'm excited
about it- and excited about the prospect of doing it full time,
eventually. The thought makes me happy... and it allows me to subscribe
to my long-held philosophy of making the world a better place, one inch
at a time... except I'll be making the world a more beautiful place,
one person at a time.
Likes: crossword puzzles, music, movies, sleeping late on Saturdays,
waking up two hours before my alarm on week days, knowing I can get two
more hours of sleep. I enjoy camping, fishing, swimming, going to the
gym.
Dislikes: arrogance, rudeness, people who make assumptions. Kids who
haven't been raised to be polite. Parents who raised their kids to be
rude little cretins. The THIN obsession. What's with that? Ugh.
Passions: Art. History. Shopping. Makeup. Cooking. Good food.
Cooking good food. Opera. Ballet. Shopping. Making people smile.
Motivational speaking. Photography. My husband. Spending time with my
wonderful family. The Ocean.
Ask me anything, I will tell you. Let's converse. Let's laugh
together. Shop together. Cook together. Let's talk books, art,
philosophy. Let's lose weight together. Let's be healthy together.
Let's search for the answer to that eternal question - no, it's not 42.
How many roads?
Wow, tangent.
I'm tired of being all the things everyone expects me to be. I'm
tired of allowing myself to try so hard to fit everyone else's
hallucinations of what and who I should be, of how I should look, and
of how I should behave, or what I should do with my life.
I'm done with that. New year, and a new opportunity to adhere to a philosophy that I love, but don't always embrace:
"To know what you prefer, instead of humbly saying Amen to what the
