Well, what can I say? I'm not particularly new to the site; I've lurked for some time without actually making a profile (back when the chatrooms were accessible by guests and members alike).
I enjoy the company of intelligent people; a dry wit and a capacity for cynicism is a must. Therefore, I do enjoy intelligent conversation; while I will not hold it against you if you use chat speak occasionally (I do occasionally indulge in the use of the emoticon), I do expect you to have the ability of coherent thought as well as the ability to express it.
I am a huge nerd; my favorite pastimes include watching anime, playing video games, reading, writing, acting, directing, and occasionally throwing down on a tabletop RPG with friends. I am a college graduate currently pursuing a career in acting, and am working as a part-time actor picking up what jobs I can while interning at a casting agency.
I may be new to the scene, and I certainly consider myself less-experienced. However, I came into this community knowing of my own handicaps and my own shortcomings, something I will fully acknowledge. I am here to expand my horizons and explore with a partner, and to learn from it. And perhaps, if that partner turns out to be the one... so be it.
