Lately I've been thinking about the dualities in people. I made a list about the opposite parts of myself, dare I say hypocrisies. Can you identify with any of this?

- The Dichotomies of Me -

I don't like macho men;
sometimes I act like one.

I have a moral code;
some would call it amoral.

Knowledge is power;
I often wish I didn't know any better.

I support equality for women;
I can be controlling.

I can find beauty in the simple things.
I'd rather not do without the complexities of civilization.

I'm a man;
sometimes I act like a boy.

I dislike interpersonal politics;
I find the subject fascinating.

Overt dogmatism is an expression of fear and arrogance.

Openness and reflection lead to enlightenment.

I like various musical styles;
my limits lie at the fringes of good taste.

I can be aloof to many;
I often advocate for the underdog.

Conservatives - *snarl*.
Progressives - *smile*.

I prefer cats as pets;
I enjoy watching the Dog Whisperer.

I read books you've never heard of.
I also enjoy select video entertainment.

I don't like street criminals;
cat burglars are fascinating.

People make me sad;
I have hope for the human race.

I prefer art objects over the performing arts.

I look so vanilla you could taste it;
my inner world transcends reality.

Flaky people are a waste of time.
The Internet is turning me into a flake.

I hate the military machine;
I can be militant.

I like to give people a hand up;
not a hand out.

I can't be bought;
I do have a price.

Intelligence is sexy;
pompousness is not.

I dislike senseless violence;
I don't mind watching it occasionally.

I dislike my parents choices;
I wouldn't be here without them.

I dislike people who waste;
I drive a car and buy things.

I'm a little odd,
but not enough to be on the radar.

or overly traditional.

Don't be fanatical about interests or substances,
moderation and variety are important.

Be mostly submissive to me,
but not a doormat.

Bookish or geeky is a good thing,
when not taken to extremes.

A youthful curiosity tempered with the wisdom of experience is excellent.

Wounded doves can be cute,
but utter helplessness is not.
