About Mammothguy
Briefly, my name is RJ and I’m a black male professional well known in my industry, new to the OC, and looking to meet a new friend who shares my interests. I work long hours which does not leave me much time to play the “dating scene.” Don’t get me wrong, I like to play as hard as I work. My interest include, travel (road trips preferred), boating (the bigger the better), fine dining (steak haters need not respond), working out (conditioning and martial arts), and movies (my collection includes over 800 DVDs and growing). Family and friends are my greatest priority and I’m looking for someone with these same values.
When the question is asked, “What are you looking for in a partner?” the answer usually is someone normal to connect with. But, what is normal? In life there are many things black and white. My attention has always been drawn to the gray areas. I’m most attracted to those personalities that are complicated because complicated is more normal that some two dimensional representation of normal. This is especially true when you consider the mask through which the world views us and how truly different we are from that mask.
When I think of the girl who peaks my interest, she is a ball of many contradictions: she is independent yet knows that only through a nurturing relationship can one be complete, she is driven as to what she wants but sometimes finds it hard to maintain focus (too many thoughts at once), she is lighthearted but may seem overly serious to others who don’t know her well, she is capable of being the life of the party outward but is really quiet and shy inside, she is very loyal but not always overly trusting, she is critical without being judgmental, and she envisions the future as a representation of efforts made in the present.
