All I want is to please you. All I want is to kneel at your feet and serve you. I want to obey you, to do everything you ask of me. I want to show you that I would go to the ends of the Earth for you. I would go hungry, or bruise my own flesh, just to see you smile.

But it seems that my passion isn't returned. My faithfulness and yearning remain unrequited. And years from now, when your effect on me is but an imprint on my memory, and when I am finally free, single and able to serve fully - it will be too late. You will have lost me. You will have missed out on the most loyal possession you could ever own.

But you will have probably forgotten me long before then.

A tulip is charming, sweet and understated. It is fragile, yet beautiful. A tulip stands tall, remaining poised even when people pass it by, reaching for the more obvious red rose instead. A tulip is stunning and pure in it's simplicity.

You can cut a tulip, and it will continue to grow.
