As for my kink side, others have ascribed to me the label of a Dominant. But I define myself. In the late 90s and early 2000s I was heavily involved in the local BDSM community, though lately Ive favored private social circles and discrete gatherings, hosted at home. I value radical honesty - first with myself, and then with others. Lying to ones relationship partners for personal gain is a practice for little boys and girls who lack confidence. But full honesty is more than just not lying. A real Man (or Woman) decides what he wants, proactively and compassionately speaks that truth to those with whom hes involved, and fashions his world accordingly.
As a native of New Orleans, I have its unique brand of Southern values at my core, but Ive also lived on the East Coast of the US and in Australia and have traveled extensively abroad, and Ive been inspired by other ways of thinking. I strive to infuse my social thinking with an open-minded, cultural relativism, and I diligently eschew parochialsm.
