Haven't heard from anyone on this site lately and I'm sort of wondering why.? Should I start fresh, with a new account and new profile?? I wonder sometimes if people get too accustomed to seeing names on here and just pass them over by habit.

Well, I have been at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota since May 2. I am doing an outpatient program for psoriasis treatment and it is working wonders. I'm about 75% clear now!

I guess it's time to move forward with my search for the right Dom. I'm coming home on May 31, and wouldn't mind setting up a coffee date or two before then.

I'm sort of derailed in my search for a Dom lately. I have a skin condition known as psoriasis, and it's flaring up pretty badly. I've had some stress and that contributed to it. I can't imagine what Dom would want me with my skin looking like this, so I'm only half-heartedly visiting this site until I get it under control. For those who don't know what this is, it's an autoimmune disorder, and isn't contageous.

A friend said I should update my journal, so here goes. :)

Why is it that I've been seeking the right Dom for 10 years, and when the guy is right, the situation isn't, or vice versa?

The friend who encouraged me to update this is a great example. He's a super guy, great friend, and I'm very sure he's an awesome Dom. But the situation isn't right. I still think the world of him anyway, and struggle with the idea of playing with him. Do I want to? Hell yeah! Will I.. probably, in time. Regardless of situation, I'm glad to know him and to feel close to him. He knows who he is. :)

Well, I've lost 50 lbs since my weight loss surgery, which was May 9th. I am excited about meeting my goal weight someday in the near future! To all the guys who didn't want me because I was and am overweight, I'm going to post pics when I do meet my goal weight so you can see what you lost out on. Try being on the flipside of the coin. Regardless of how great I look when I lose my weight, these are definitely guys I will never date, but this time it's by my own choice. :) Feels empowering and I like it.

I exchanged a few emails via this site with a local Dominant. He described one of the scenes he'd like to play out. It was very sexual, and I told him that I wouldn't do that unless I knew him well.

BDSM should ALWAYS be safe, and that includes safe sex.

I don't know what, if any, diseases he has. D/s isn't worth dying for. I am worth FAR more than that.

I find it interesting how I see the same names on this site year after year. Why is it harder for those of us who are into this lifestyle to find the perfect partner than it is for vanilla folks?

I've been actively involved in the local bdsm scene for around 12 years, and I'm STILL seeking the right Dominant.

One other thought - I am having weight loss surgery on May 9th. Will all the Doms who have overlooked me suddenly want me a year from now when I'm thin? What does that say about them? And will I really want them? It's what's inside that counts, I think. Perhaps someday humanity will overcome its shallowness.

I had an 18-month relationship with a female Dominant that ended in January 2004. That was 3 1/2 years ago, and it's so hard to believe that so much time has gone by. That relationship was intense and it is the bar to which I hold other Dominants. She and I have not spoken in at least a year, but she left a huge mark on me. Are there days when I still long for what we had? Yes, even 3 1/2 years later, I miss her.

I hope she has good memories. I sometimes wonder about that.

I'm returning to the BDSM world after a one year break. My last Dominant released me in January 2004. It was a very intense relationship. I thought I could go vanilla, but learned differently. Ten years of being aware of my submissive nature and being involved in the local BDSM community should have taught me otherwise. I'm pretty sure that everyone who knows me knew I'd eventually be back. Sometimes it takes awhile for us to see in ourselves what's obvious to others.
