I've never posted anything to a journal entry - see no point, but today I found something worth posting...

 I encountered a pathetic attitude which is a very sad commentary indeed about the attitudes of so many on this site... When I broached the topic of safe sexual practices to a so called dominant (WANTaSlut) that I had been sharing conversation with,  this person adopted a hostile attitude and indicated that he was does not practice safe sex and has no intention on starting.

Word of warning for anyone who cares about their own health - your never too old to get sick from the activites you're engaging in, especially when your too stupid to be concerned about your own health and well being in today's society; The unsuspecting spread of disease does NOT discriminate, everyone is at risk!

Having spent over 30 years in the medical field, it still saddens me to see how many senior citizens are simply burying their heads in the sand on this topic, thinking that it just can't happen to them. 

That is a truly dangerous attitude to have and that specific attitude makes those type of people very dangerous, to themselves and to others!!

Furthermore, anyone who doesn't care enough to be concerned about the health and well being of their partner is definately someone to stay far, far away from.  That attitude, and subsequent practice, I especially would not expect from anyone who claims to be a dominant,; most ligitimate dominants are very concerned with the health and well being of their partners and are willing to take the steps necessary to ensure that both are safe and protected, and it's the practice and attitude that I, myself, possess...

So please - it doesn't matter what title you try to adopt - dominant, submissive, switch, or other - there are enough inherent dangers in this lifestyle and its activities, don't let ignorance and stupidity move to the top of that list!
