Wishing and praying all of our Armed Forces members have a very happy and safe
holiday season and a New Year filled with peace. I received this in a card:

Twas the night before Christmas, he lived all alone

in a one bedroom house made of plaster and stone.

I had come down the chimney with presents to give,

and to see just who in the home did live.

I looked all about, a strange sight I did see,

no tinsel, no presents, not even a tree.

No stocking by mantel, just boots filled with sand,

and on the wall pictures of far distant lands.

With medals and badges, awards of all kinds.

a sobering thought came to my mind.

For this house was different, so dark and so dreary,

the home of a  soldier, now I could see clearly.

A soldier lay sleeping, silent, alone

curled up on the floor in this one bedroom home.

The face was so gentle, the room in such disorder,

not how I pictured a United States Soldier.

Was this the hero of whom I'd just read?

Curled up on a poncho, the floor for a bed?

I realized the families that I saw this night

owed their lives to these soldiers who were willing to fight.

Soon round the world, the children would play,

and grownups would celebrate a bright Christmas Day.

They all enjoyed freedom each month of the year,

because of the soldiers, like the one lying here.

I couldn't help wonder how many lay alone

on a cold Christmas eve in a land far from home.

The very thought brought a tear to my eye,

I dropped to my knees and started to cry.

The soldier awakened and I heard a rough voice,

"Santa, don't cry, this life is my choice.

I fight for the freedom, I don't ask for more.

My life is my God, my country, my corps."

The soldier rolled over and soon drifted to sleep.

I couldn't contorl it, I continued to weep.

I kept watch for hours, so silent and still

and we both shivered in the cold eveing chill.

I didn't want to leave on that cold, dark, night,

this guardian of honor so  willing to fight.

Then the soldier rolled over, with a voice soft and pure,

whispered "Carry on Santa, it's Christmas Day, all is secure."

One look at my watch and I knew he was right.

"Merry Christmas, my friend, and to all a good night."

Well, if you are reading this, evidently the world in your area hasnt come
to an end yet.  I havent watched the news yet so am just hoping and praying
a bunch of nuts havent killed themselves and their families.
Has anyone with a brain ever given thought that maybe, just maybe 12/21/12
is only as far as the ancients got  with their calander before the Spaniards came in, enslaved and distroyed that wonderful civilization?  I realize it isnt
as dramatic as thinking the world will end today, but it sure makes a lot more
sense.  Especially if one reads and pays attention to his Bible and isnt looking
for world distruction or even a zombie apocolypse!!

At any rate, heres hoping all have a good day today and a beautiful holiday.

Well, the Christmas season is upon us, the stores are filled with
doantion boxes for food, toys and even mittins for our citizens
who are financially strapped. Santas stand in the freezing winds
ringing bells to collect pennies for the Salvation Army.  YET as a
nation, we still send billions of dollars to foreign countries.  We
send them our flour, we send them money, we essentially take
the food from our own citizens to support theirs and they burn
our flags.  We send our soldiers to fight their battles.  I, for one, believe that before the U.S. sends one red cent to any other coun-try, we should take care of our own in as well a manner as we do foreign countries.  I am heartbroken when I see an elderly couple walk away from a drug counter without their medicine because of the raising costs of medication and the lowering of what Medicare can provide anymore.  If it is a choice of food or meds, I am afraid they have to pick food.  Do you remember several years ago there was an ad on TV showing an elderly lady opening a can of cat food and a kitty was meowing as it circled her feet...then the woman sat down at the table with the catfood on a plate with a few crackers and that was HER meal, not the cats?  That left a very vivid memory in my mind and it comes back everytime the amount of medicare that comes out of our Social Security checks goes up.  I wouldnt mind paying my taxes, if I knew that every cent was going to help our own citizens. To help lower medical costs across the board.  Health insurance costs are horrid unless you have a really good plan at work.  I presently pay almost $500 a month for insurance and I presently have over $1000 in medical bills that were over what my insurance would cover just from one short-termed medical crisis.
 Remember when we were considered to be the richest cournty in the world?   According to the Wikipedia, 50 percent of the US capital comes from the Upper or Capitalistic Class.  FIFTY PERCENT!!!  And that rose from 2000 to 2008.  Ten percent of US citizens earn that 50 percent.  21 percent of all US children live below poverty level  ($22,025 for a family of 4)  Yet we still are sending billions of our own tax dollars abroad.
Come on people, lets start taking care of our own.  No matter
who, no matter where, no matter what color, relegion or creed.
It is really about time that this country get back on track to be-
coming the richest in the world again.  Let your elected reps know
that its time we took care of our own FIRST AND FORMOST. 
We cannot afford to be so generous when our own citizens
are suffering and losing their homes, jobs and their selfrespect.

We also need to stop giving tax breaks to companies who ship
jobs to foreign countries.  That is not just a slap in the face to
the American who lost his job, it is an ax to the back of the neck!
Especially when you figure his tax dollars helped support the tax
break his employer received.  Lets give the breaks to the compan-
ies that try to keep their employees working, and the small business.

I realize there will be probably a lot of people who dont agree with me, but if you were feeding your sons and daughters cheap hot dogs and boxed mac and cheese as their biggest meal of the day, then you would see why I am so distraught over this.

Warren Buffett, in a recent  interview with CNBC, offers one of the best
qotes about the debt ceiling:
"I could  end the deficit in 5 minutes," he told CNBC. "You just pass a  law
that says that anytime there is a deficit of more than 3% of  GDP, all
sitting members of Congress are ineligible for re-election.  The 26th
amendment (granting the right to vote for 18 year-olds) took only 3 months &
8 days  to be ratified! Why? Simple! The people demanded it. That was in
1971...before computers, e-mail, cell phones, etc.  Of  the 27 amendments to
the Constitution, seven (7) took 1 year or  less to become the law of the
land...all because of public pressure.
Warren Buffet is asking each addressee to forward this email to a minimum of
twenty people on their address list; in turn ask each of those to do
likewise. In three days, most people in The United States of America will
have the message. This is one idea that really should be passed around.
*Congressional Reform Act of 2011*
1. No Tenure / No Pension.  A Congressman collects a salary while in office
and receives no pay when they are out of office.
2.  Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security.  All
funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security
system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system,
and Congress participates with the American people. It may not be used for
any other purpose.
3. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans
do.
4. Congress will no longer vote  themselves a pay raise.  Congressional pay
will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.
5. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the
same health care system as the American people.
6. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American
people.
7. All contracts with past and present Congressmen are void effective
1/1/12. The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen.
Congressmen
made all these contracts for themselves. Serving in Congress is an honor,
not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, so ours
should serve their term(s), then go home and back to work.
If each person contacts a minimum of twenty people then it will only take
three days for most people (in the U.S.) to receive the message. Maybe it is
time.

I am going to probably get a LOT of slack about this entry, but, having been in the medical field for over 30yrs and having worked in the OR, ER, and Oncology,  as well as rehab, step-down units and even long term care,   I really  DO know an awfully  LOT about the human body and what is dangerous for it. 

When I see a womans breasts crushed between two metal or wooden rods that are clamped so tightly the breasts are purple and/or bruised, it sickens me.  If a pair of breasts  or mans scrotum and/or penis  are bound so tightly that they are purple to the point of being nearly black, this is just plain dangerous.  When I see deep bruising across the back in the kidney area, this is downright stupidity.  There really  needs to be a point to where common sense kicks in.  As a Dominant or Domme, you are responsible for the  SAFTY  and  WELL-BEING of your submissive and/or slaves.

It is a proven medical fact that when the blood flow is restricted to a body part long enough and tight enough, it can actually cause TISSUE DEATH! Extremely tight restriction can cause damage to the veins and arteries causing reduction or ceassion of the blood flow.   In  women with breasts that are fibrous ( little fibroid tis-sue lumps throughout the breast)  these lumps can be injured, even ruptured and can lead to cancer.  A mans testicals can very easily become necrotic and the tissues die.  Let me tell you, there is absolutely nothing pretty about a section of breast or a test-ical that is BLACK and DEAD. Not to mention the pain is hor-rible!  The SMELL of dead, necrotic or gangerous flesh is beyond description.

Abuse to ones back can easily cause kidney damage and even death.  Someone who has sustained bruising blows to the kidney area can bleed to death due to kidney damage.  Or, the kidney can cease to function normally and lead to abnormal conditons that can cause severe illness, irreversible damage and death.

When someone says that, Oh, but the submissive loves it; well, is she or he going to love having a breast removed or part of his penis surgically removed because of necrosis?  Is he going to want to have a testicle and scrotum surgically altered because part of it is dead?  And these idiots who just believe that enough lubi-jelly will make a rectum or vagina able to accomodate any-thing are just that, idiots!  Do the damned  MATH!  If a hole is only one and a half inches wide, no amount of lubrication is going to make that hole four inches wide.  So when someone tells me that a vagina or rectum can handle fisting just because it has been lubed up...give me a flipping break!!!  Better yet, lets take all these mental pygmies who think this and shove a two by four up their ass...after it has been lubricated of course...and see if
just maybe they change their mind.  And just because a woman
had been able to have a vaginal delivery during childbirth does not necessarily mean that 15 yrs. later she can handle a 5 inch fist shoved inside of her.  There are a LOT of anatomical changes in a woman as she ages.

I really wished that common sense would kick in and these people
who do some of the afore mentioned things would give more thought to being mature, intelligent adults insted of just thrill seeking jerks.  We all need to be responsible adults, both with
ourselves and our own bodies as well as those we are playing with.
