I'm a student and youth worker. Intelligent, travelled, well-read, quite reserved until I get to know someone. I love good company and conversation. Between study and work, I'm a busy person so I cherish my downtime. I spend my days trying to take control of young people and temper their creativity and flexibility of spirit with a little support and direction. As challenging and rewarding and brilliant and devastating as that can be (sometimes all at once) and as much as I love my job.....I wish I had someone to do that for me. I am at times as properly stiff-upper-lip repressed as my heritage dictates and need pulling out of my own head and breaking down. I'm mouthy, a right pain in the arse, not terribly good at taking orders, stubborn, clever and evasive.
I wish I wasn't.
If you've messaged me in the last few months and I haven't responded, I apologise. Work exploded there for a while and I've not had time for anything that could be remotely construed as social or recreational. I've promised myself that from now on I'll try to take some time. |
