I watched Sky News' 'Why are they rioting' this evening. There was some interesting analysis of the reasons behind the riots. The various theories proposed included: 1. Social injustice and social exclusion. 2. Opportunism & criminality. 3. Anger due to disenfranchisement of young people from employment & political life. 4. A crisis of fatherhood. 5. A breakdown in shared morality & values. I'm sure that there were others...

yowsers! My second entry in two days - no pun intended. I was reflecting just now on the psychological aspects of BDSM, particularly that old chestnut of genetics vs environment. Intuitively, I feel that it has more to do with upbringing and the complexities of attraction than something hereditary, but I could be mistaken. There also appears to be something about the old code of chivalry in the way that a submissive male looks up to his Mistress, rather like Arthurian knights, being champions for their women. IMHO the mechanics of transaction seem to reduce this down to a lower level, after all I suppose, isn't everyone looking for true love?
I got back from an early morning sea-swim with my bro about an hour ago... Invigorating doesn't even begin to come close to describing it. Strange though, I had all sorts of ideas about what I was going to put in this journal whilst the hot water cascaded around me in the shower just now, but faced with this blank screen, my mind appears to have become equally so:)

1/8/10 - Random musings: I swam in the sea for the first time this year in England, & it dawned on me that my last 'dip' from these shores was 29 September last year. My son ran like the wind to get his new kite airborne today, and it worked like a treat as he was a very happy chappy when it flew in the sky:-)
3/5/10 - Hmm, curious how I seem to get these odd messages from pay-cam girls masquerading as Mistresses, lol. I've chatted to a few genuine Mistresses on here, which reassures me greatly. maybe the next step is just a little too scary for me right now :-)
