About kAthrynAnn
I aspire to be positive, optimistic, hopeful, upbeat, intense, intelligent, honest, and open-minded. Those qualities are very important to me and I use them to guide me as I navigate life. I love people and look for the best in them. In relationships, I find I am most connected with others who have similar aspirations. If you have a negative outlook, in general, or like to point out shortcomings in others and in the world without speculating on solutions or turning your thoughts inward, you and I will only frustrate each other :-) I prefer interactive dialog and hope you do too. I am not huge on writing long and drawn out e-mails as I find them to be so removed from the moment and would rather talk interactively. However, and as with most things, nothing is set in stone for me. I can and will adapt.
I am well-educated, first by life, and then formally. I am a philosopher/theorist by training and a poet/artist/photographer by passion. I live in both the USA and in Germany. I frequently take 18 mile bike rides on the countryside, but have learned to pace myself to assure balance in my life and health. I am emotional and don't do well with superficial conversation or mundane chitchat, although I can be incredibly silly just for the sake of it :-). I have a mind and I use it. I have a very soft passionate heart and I use it even more so. The combination of the two--a mind and a soft heart-- is a mixed blessing. My gentle heart makes it easy for me to love others, to feel deeply and very emotionally, to give of myself completely, but I also am one to look beyond the obvious, analyze, piece together, and look for flawed logic.
I have been in BDSM relationships and find that I and my Dom are most fulfilled when that relationship is one in which I am allowed the dignity of being who I am, while being gently and firmly guided toward who I can be. I am very introspective and am motivated to please and to give pleasure, in whatever form that takes. As I am sure you can imagine, this process takes trust and intimate knowledge of each other and does not happen in a couple of online chats or even one or two real time meetings. I tend to gravitate toward people who are passionate about life/the world and actively involved in the living of it and in it. I value open-mindedness with a social conscious and the willingness and ability act on one's beliefs/values even when it might not be so easy. The ability to get real with one's self and one's other, and to trust are so very important to me too.
What do I seek... to stand naked before another, with all my warts, bumps, and scars that make me so beautifully human and submissive--and be both strong and vulnerable at the same time. I find human fragility beautiful. |
