Life is all about perception, isn't it? It makes a big difference how you look at things & people; and what meaning you give to what you hear, see, feel, taste, & smell.

That's right! We are like computers. Our input devices (e.g. keyboards, mouse, etc.) are our senses. Ever since we were born, we've been programmed & trained... first, by our parents; then we started going to school... teachers & friends programmed, trained, & influenced us. Then we became an adult; bosses & coworkers had influenced us including the media and our own interpretations of everything. As we grow older and older, some of us started to gain wisdom in life, don't we? Are you following me here so far? I hope so...

We all know change is constant; it is inevitable! People around us are constantly changing (divorce & breakups are excellent example of this, right?); our situations are changing as well as our environment. We are no longer a kid or a teenager; some of us got married, had children, got divorce, got promoted in their job, etc. We move from one job to another, had relationship from one person to another, move from one location to another, etc., etc., etc... don't you agree? As we get older and older, gaining life experiences... we (ourselves) are also changing, aren't you? There are things that we no longer like and discovering things we like; some of our interests, hobbies, wants, desires, fantasies, dreams, etc. have changed, didn't they?

Question now is... are those previous training, programming, influences, beliefs (not necessarily religious beliefs but just beliefs in general), etc.... are they still applicable now in our today's modern world? are they still applicable now in our current situations and environment?

That is why we hear something like, "got stuck in the 80s" or "70s". Don't you agree? Some people moved on and grew while others got stuck in their generations and keep applying those previous training, programming, beliefs, etc. in their current situation now. Do you know someone like that?

Point is, all living things must grow; if they are stagnant, sooner or later, they will die earlier. We all must grow, improve, and move forward to live a fuller, happier lives. Don't you agree? We all must keep on discovering ourselves, maximizing our potentials, and overcoming our weaknesses.

Life is too short to be living in the past (which is gone) OR living in the future (which is still unknown and will always remain a mystery). One thing we know and have for sure is our present moment. We must enjoy it while it last as sooner or later it will become our past.

I was recently told that, "It's not just being "the boss", it's really understanding people, and helping them to explore themselves and your whim. Helping them to live out their fantasies, but also making it our own. To make our fantasies their fantasies and vice versa... and there is much more to it than barking orders or using a strap on. LOL. Contrary to popular belief." I couldn't say that any better. I just added "vice versa" because I a strong believer of a win-win situation; where everyone gets what they want. No matter what our relationship be, everyone can benefit from a "win-win situation" because there is no such thing as something for nothing.

We can all learn from each other and help each other grow, discover ourselves more and more, because sometimes, we need someone to be outside the picture to see the entire picture. Does that make sense? I hope so... there are ton of times that I just keep on typing and typing what comes out of my mind at the time.

Do you believe that majority of our communications are non-verbal?

They say, that only about 2-3% of human communications are through the words and phrases that we express; about 97-98% of our communications are non-verbal and communicated through our tone of voice, quality of our voice, facial expressions, hand gestures, body language, and other physiological changes.

I believe that's true! After all, tonality & quality of our voice defines whether we are asking a question or making a statement, isn't it? We can tell whether a person is happy or sad by just looking at their face, isn't it? We can tell whether or not they are confident or have lack of self-esteem through their postures, right?

Our facial expressions, eye movements, hand gestures, body language, and other physiological changes tells us more than what we want the other person to know.

That is why I would prefer to get to know someone in person than just read their words & phrases.
