First the less obvious; the process of mentally toying with a submissive, creating a healthy subspace and turning a strong will into Jello, and making it possible for her to do things which she does not believe she can, or to enjoy and crave things which she may simply endure, gives me immense satisfaction. Like a teacher, parent, or pet owner, shaping and fostering a submissive's self-development through consistent and extremely strict but appropriate training to make them better when we are together and apart, satisfies a part of me which other activities cannot. Creating a dynamic through which we both enjoy the sometimes difficult process should give both of us joy.
The obvious; observing and creating the suffering of others gives me great enjoyment. Whether the mental distress of a difficult task or situation which must be completed or endured, or intentionally inflicting physical pain, directly or indirectly, taking a submissive out of her comfort zone and challenging her understanding of different activities and herself satisfies a very big part of my personality. It makes me smile inside and out. I get off on control in a big way, and the power dynamic within BDSM play, creating higher consciousness through harder contact, is a huge turn-on.
