Although I've at times found myself attracted to women throughout the submissive spectrum and have indulged in a fair number of different types of dynamics, my overwhelming focus tends to be on the combination of a nurturing approach and the exercise of tight control. Soft where possible, firm when necessary, but always under the assumptions that the dynamic is there to better the submissive (or indeed both of us), and that she finds the place in which she is kept comforting, even though this may not always entail being comfortable. I have my little collection of interests and fetishes, like any of us, but ultimately what excites me most is the idea of possession as a visceral need for both parties -- and the more difficulty the submissive has in seeing herself in any other role but owned (and hopefully cherished), the greater the return for me. Also the greater the responsibility to return in full on that trust.
Bearing the above in mind, I seek someone who is comfortable with firm guidance, but possessed of a mind that allows her to take ownership of the dynamic in her own way, if that makes any sense. She should be truly devoted to the notion of service, but also conscious of her own pleasure, happiness and needs. While I daresay I'm easily capable of meeting even a power-bottom's desires for discipline and control, affection is a necessity for me, and I've no interest in a relationship where it is proscribed, so if your focus is solely on being devalued, you're probably the one narrow type of submissive I can't find a decent starting point with. That's not to say a little "humiliation" or breaking down of the girl's sense of status might not be in order or enjoyable on occasion, but that's a different animal, of course.
