I have a well-developed sense of humor with a smile normally on my face. I practice self-deprecating humor, it tends to put people at ease. I have a fairly youthful outlook on life, my glass is normally half-full and I am always on the lookout for ways to fill it a little higher, perhaps you are the one to cause it to overflow. I am equally at ease quacking like a duck with my granddaughter as we waddle to the duck pond as I am vehemently discussing the best way to manage our business. I have a strong work ethic, high expectations of myself and others, personal integrity, love for friends and family, love of learning, fiscally prudent and an active mind. I have worked for the same company for 35 years so I would say that I am stable. I enjoy my work but I am actively planning for retirement, the past 6-months have been brutal but not devastating. I enjoy finance, business, the stock market and the dynamics of the economy. The psychology of the market is fascinating. I am blessed with wonderful health thanks to my parents and their genes. I would be in better shape if I exercised consistently but work sometimes intrudes on the routine. I have every intention of living to 100, I think everyone needs a goal and I have set mine. I am looking for a partner, someone to share the excitement of romance, the joy of exploration, a person that is both a best friend and a lover (boy is that trite but it does not make it any less accurate) and someone to grow old with. My goal is to live to be 100 and I want to be sure I know at least one person my age. I realize that we are all busy but my partner needs to be available, both emotionally and physically. I like the contradictions of spontaneity and ploddingly irritating planning (a product of my work) in my relationships. I enjoy the surprise of unexpectedly picking you up in a convertible for a drive down/up the coast to dine alfresco on the water as well as spending hours poring over travel material in Barnes & Noble in preparation for our trip to the Greek Isles. I would enjoy sharing with you the warmth of a physical relationship, comfort of walking hand-hand, the silliness of doing something entirely age inappropriate (I realize how old we choose to act is truly a personal choice), the ease of conversation and the excitement and anticipation we create in each other. |
