Learning SM as a bottom was once an expected-to-essential step to becoming a Top. Now, after identifying as a switch I am expanding my Topping skills. My empathic skills are strengthening: I can sense the effect of my play upon the bottom so that each flogger stroke, pinch of the nipple clamps or drip of hot wax passes through us both like the pulse of a TENS unit. I am speaking here of connection, the essence of SM. I prefer sensual to physical intensity during play, but of course will honor and respond to your interests as well.
