I'm still fairly new at this insofar as actual experience. I've tried both roles and I can understand some of what Dominants get out of the experience, I find that I derive much more satisfaction in the submissive role.
Mundanely, I'm a woman in a man's field. My boss says I have a soothing voice, and it helps when dealing with high-pressure phone calls. I'm a voracious reader and technophile, and so my Kindle might as well be surgically attached. I'm short, plump (but not as plump as I used to be), redheaded, and pale. I like RPGs (the games, not the grenades) and played LARP back in high school.
Just one thing: I'm not into pain much, if at all. I also have very sensitive skin and bruise at the drop of a hat. I might be able to learn to appreciate that aspect, but it would have to go *very* slow and easy at first until we figured out just how much I enjoyed or could actually take. I understand if that might take a lot of the fun out of it for some... but if so, we wouldn't be a good match. Sorry...
What I do enjoy is the surrender of control. I don't think I'll ever identify with the slave role and am not into humiliation. I value myself... and I feel that my choice to submit to someone is a sign of the respect I feel for them, not because I'm somehow lesser. With the right person I would probably be willing to explore a lot more than it might sound from this profile... but it would take time and trust, especially since I'm still learning about what I enjoy.
