Just because I am a Dom male does not mean I am living a constant BDSM life style. In fact a live a rather conventional life for the most part. I just do not waver my Dom ways no matter what I do.
I get more pleasure from my Sub being submissive in all phases of our relationship including inside the bedroom and outside in the world. One of my favorite lines on this site from a Sub female was she "loves not having to think, just do". What a great attitude.
I prefer my Sub to love living the lifestyle at all times rather than just getting a taste once in a while. I want to dominate your mind as well as your body. I do not believe that being a Dom male means that I am solely into BDSM. I believe in a delicate balance, not so much control that my Sub becomes someone who is unable to think and make appropriate choices when I am not with her or too little control that she forgets for my wishes. I do not believe in jumping into a hard core Dom/Sub relationship unless I feel you are ready. A slower start will be preferred.
I believe Wizdomme said it correctly:
Dominance and Submission (D/s) is an alternative relationship in which a Master or Dom controls the actions, emotions, and will of the submissive. D/s does not necessarily refer to the sex act itself. D/s is more akin to a seduction. The Dom seduces the sub with his power, the sub seduces the Dom with their willingness and servitude.
