Tuesday, September 25th. Met my new friend and mentor for the first time today. What fun. She is an experienced professional dom who came into town Monday for a session with one of her clients. Monday, September 24th. I attended a panel discussion sponsored by Portland Leather Alliance. The topic was "Objectification and Humiliation." I was pleasantly surprised by the large number of kinksters that turned out. The panel consisted of a top, a switch and two bottoms so pretty much all viewpoints were covered. Among the questions addressed were what are the responsibilities of the top for the safety and well being of the bottom? What are the pros and cons of having a safe word from the bottom's perspective? The importance of pre-session contracts. Much of session was taken up with members of the audience and panel relating past experiences.
All in all, it was more or less informative and a good chance to see see other kinky people, although there was little or no mingling when the meeting broke up. |
