Faithful union
I was told from the cradle that i had failed by mother father the teacher who scowled
I was told from the cradle that failure was mine to view as a gift as behind all i trailed
I was told that no use do i have no value to mankind so why bother at all
I was told that failure will follow like the slime which follows a snail
He asked me to trust Him to follow his lead
He was the beacon towards which my raft sailed
He asked me to worship to follow without thought, to know that i love him i’m no longer alone
He asked of others to see me as His, to show me that through living i was becoming whole
He asked of my heart to love without sight as he showed me whats right
Others can see me in a different light, now that i no longer live within fright
Others will ask what does he do, why do you allow it to furrow your brow
Others might wonder just what we might have to allow us to grow within plain sight
Others see now that failures of old were nothing to hold, the path
As through our friendship he has helped me grow bold
Follow His lead no matter the trail the path before me was darkness and cold
To follow His lead with joy in my heart to sing out loud with the joy from my soul
Follow forever no failures for me all that i want now my will to Him i concede
Follow behind, but walking beside him as he has overturned failures from the inside
