The principle characteristic of a 24/7 relationship is complete submission. A slave in a 24/7 situation willingly completely abdicates control over her life and in complete submission to another finds a degree of freedom that she has not experienced elsewhere in her life.

Her master assumes complete responsibility for her life. He chooses her clothes, he chooses how she will use her body, and he educates her in the ways of pleasing him as well as in the ways of the world. He is responsible for her punishment and her pleasure to the degree he feels that she deserves either. He chooses if she spends the night at his side, chained to the foot of his bed or in her cage (yes such things really exist). In short she submits completely.

As a sign of that submission she wears his collar. Depending on the circumstances her collar is made of different things. For a night on the town it might be made of gold, for a night at home of steel. But whether it is of gold or one of the baser metals or even of velvet she wears it at all times as a mark of her submission to her master for she is his property and it is a state she treasures.

A slave does as her master commands. She provides what ever service he demands when he demands it, putting his pleasure above her own for in submission she is happy. There is nothing he can ask that she would not willingly do, because if she has chosen well she knows that she can trust him to know her limits and expand them gradually and she desires to please him above all else.

A 24/7 relationship is not one where the slave is kept locked in a room and chained to the wall for 24 hours a day. Rather like any valuable possession her master enjoys showing her off taking pride in what he has created. It is important that she dress well, be literate and be a source of pride for her master. To the world she is a beautiful cultured woman, it is only she and her master that know her true status. Yet she is always submissive.

She is bound and punished to suit her master’s wishes. Whether she is sent to the corner in the library to stand facing the wall and await her punishment, or bound over a punishment bench or caged or merely turned over his knee like a naughty school girl she knows that her master may use her as he desires and she takes pleasure in that. Whether he chooses to use a whip, a crop, or his hand she will willing except whatever marks he inflicts and wear them proudly as a sign that she is cherished.

She is also pampered, for like any valuable possession she is of inestimable value to her master. True dominance and submission benefits both the master and the slave each in their own way.
