About hockeystick
Hi. I'm a 24 year old university student. Have virtually no experience but want to explore inclinations I have wrestled with since I was very young.

I'm a total newbie so take the following with a grain of salt:
This site has opened many doors for me. Doors to knowledge and experiences to be had. It is so exciting to come across authentic profiles: the people are of the gender, age, race and general geography that their profile claims. I'm not interested in hooking up with everyone I communicate with. Sometimes I like to ask questions of fellow sub/masochists in the hope of benefitting from their experience. Sometimes I just feel moved to admire.
But I have something to say to those who create fake profiles. There are many profiles that are written in perfect English and offer photographs that are obviously stolen. The falsity of these profiles becomes evident the instant the person hiding behind them communicates. So many of them can't speak English - and although they may know English words, their inability to speak English is revealed in the incorrect sentence structure.
It is so sad that these individuals lack pride in who they are such that they have to pretend to be someone who is different in every respect.
Personally, I love coming across profiles in other languages. For many years I have struggled with my interests and a perception that I was abnormal. The more people I see who are like me, the more courage I have to go forth and explore. Discovering that there are people all over the world, of every race and language and faith, who share my particular inclinations, the happier I am.
