I really love browsing the profiles on CM and it never fails to astound me how many people have the most bizarre, unrelated or just completely, horribly un-sexy, unoriginal usernames. Seriously, how many men just put 'Dominant' in front of their first name and thought 'That'll get the wenches drooling'? I'm all for specific fetishes but making your username 'Cumonyourfaceandtits' lacks originality and subtlety. I can't speak for all women but I do believe most of us like a bit of mystery, a little artfulness and a light hand when playing the introduction game. Women are a bit spoiled for choice on CM and if you can't be arsed putting in the time and effort to conjure up an interesting, intriguing username, your chances are likely to be diminished. On a similar note, profile photos taken with your webcam of you bleary-eyed at 3am, illuminated by the unflattering light of a computer screen really don't display you at your best; it just makes you look creepy and not a little stalker-ish.

I'm not vegetarian by any means, nor do I particularly discriminate in what I eat, unless it's something that just disgusts me. For example, I won't eat baby octopus, because the concept of eating a 'baby' with tentacles creeps me out. D., however, does not eat octopus, squid or cuttlefish (I eat the last two; I can't escape my Asian roots :D) because he thinks they're intelligent enough to warrant a reprieve. I admit, I have watched the videos of octopi opening jars and travelling across the sea-floor, using coconuts as protective coverings, I've read the articles about how intelligent these creatures are, however if pressed, particularly due to cultural, familial pressure, I will eat octopus or cuttlefish (I've yet to see the evidence suggesting cuttlefish are particularly intelligent, but D. holds a double-degree in Science, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt). He's recently decided to give up pork products, due to our mutual desire to own a micro-pig. Pigs are actually rather intelligent animals, or so it would seem, so he's made the decision to give up his beloved chorizo. It also means that he can no longer experience a vast array of various Chinese dishes my mother whips up; he's totally missing out. Add to that his dislike of most fruits, vegetables and anything with a crunchy textures, and it's like trying to feed a fussy toddler when planning meals :)

So I find it enjoyable, amusing even at times to peruse other CM members' profiles. Sometimes I come across a guy with a great smile or a woman with a fabulous body and while I don't contact them saying so, given that CM is rife with others' expectations of protocol, etc, I do find it hilarious when a very obviously professional photograph pops up on someone's profile. Not professional in the 'I-got-this-makeover-at-the-shop-at-the-mall-then-they-took-photos-of-me-with-a-soft-filter' type of professional, more the 'this is so clearly ripped off a Victoria's Secret catalogue' or worse, a Sears catalogue. Particularly amusing is when their profile photo is of a rather well-known adult entertainment personality, without being used ironically. Amusement abounds.
