I hate this part of the internet...where you're expected to "sell" yourself in this little box.
There's way more to me than what I can fit here, and the best parts of me are more fun to discover for yourself.
I've always fancied myself as a walking contradiction. For the longest time I thought I was just indecisive, but as i've gotten older i've realized that it's not because I can't decide it's because there are different sides of me that have different needs.
I am a Switch for that reason. With some partners I desperately need to be submissive and enjoy the comfort of that transfer of power and the discipline He may lay out for me.
On the other hand, I have had the pleasure to learn what it means to be Dominant and I enjoy that power. After many years in a very unhealthy D/s relationship, I will freely admit that it's therapeutic for me to be in a more Dominant role. It's something I enjoy, I do well, and I have been doing for several years. That said, if I had to choose which is more natural for me it would definitely be me in a submissive role.
I have many interests, outside of BDSM, and i'd be very happy to share those with you. You'll get a better idea if you just ask, but here's a little rundown:
-I'm an avid cook. I made a promise to myself that I would cook or bake something 6 days out of 7. It's something that makes me calm, centers me, and I love cooking for my friends and family. Food is something that everyone loves, everyone has memories associated with foods, and it is such a big part our lives that I hold it very close to my heart.
-Photography. I am a photographer by trade and it's something I have been doing since I was 10 years old. I can leave for the day and no matter where I end up, I will come home with hundreds of photos. The world looks so much better through a lens.
-Live music. I love music, as most people do. The difference for me is that I rarely listen to music unless it's live. Of course I listen to music in the car, i'll pull something up on my laptop if I want to hear it...but in general I just don't enjoy it as much if it's not live! There's so much raw emotion, no matter what the genre may be. There are musicians that i've seen 60+ times live. I will travel for it when I can afford it.
-Travel. I have a bit of the wanderlust. I love to travel, explore, and revisit those places that left an impact.
-Books. I am a bookworm in the worst way. I recently moved and as I was packing I decided to get rid of a lot of books that I just didn't need anymore. It was one of the hardest things i'd ever done! I will admit that I cried, pretty hard. But I know that they went to a good home so that's all that matters, right?
I read a lot, many subjects, non fiction and fiction. I only tend to stay away from Sci-Fi and Fantasy. Nothing wrong with it, but in book form I just can't keep interested.
I originally came to this website because i've never been part of a BDSM community on the internet. I've avoided it, actually. But after a big move and a a job change I kind of feel like I should reach out to those who are like-minded. I'm not big on the internet in general when it comes to socializing so while I hope to meet some people I can maybe create friendships with, i'm not looking to rush out and meet in person this week. I'm more careful than that. :)
